Originally a photographer, Letitia's practice has morphed into squares bounded by rectangles contain concentric colors, patterns, shapes, and symbols— sporadically referring to the iconic formal structure of SX70 Polaroids.

The "little darlings" are almost like fan letters. Featured here are a selection of musicians who she adores.

Letitia Quesenberry (b. 1971, Louisville, KY) lives and works in Louisville, KY. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati. Through the play of material, process, surface, and technology, the artist creates a layered, hypnotic experience that extends beyond the visual. Quesenberry tempers the impulse to understand her work conclusively by evoking a desire to celebrate uncertainty and honor illusion. Recent exhibitions include David Smith Gallery, Denver; 57W57, New York; Ryan Lee Gallery, New York; the Speed Art Museum, Louisville. She is the recipient of grants from SouthArts, Great Meadows Foundation as well as the Al Smith Fellowship and the Efroymson Contemporary Arts Fellowship.
